Modernization of PRC Meteorological Service

Abstract

The meteorological service system is a typical atmospheric information system. The timely, rapid gathering and processing of accurate meteorological information so that it can be put into service to safeguard the people and to build socialism is the sole aim of China's meteorological work. The National Weather Bureau, in its work of modernization, places great emphasis on the use of developed computer technology. (edc)
