Abstract

This handbook describes the Universal Documentation System (UDS). The UDS is used to formally document requesting agency capabilities and commitments to support those requirements. The UDS handbook is published in three basic volumes and a supplement. Volume 1 describes the total UDS structure, the individual documents within the system, and the use and control of the system. Volume 2 includes sample formats and describes procedures for preparation of the Program Introduction (PI), Program Requirements Documents (PRD), and the Operations Requirements (OR). Volume 3 includes sample formats and describes procedures for preparation of the Statement of Capability (SC), Program Support Plan (PSP), and Operations Directive (OD).
