Financial Assessment for Senior Military Officers

Abstract

Senior military officers are sensitive to assessing their professional, behavioral and physical well-being. However, their financial well- being is often given little time. This paper serves to get officers started in working on their financial well-being. The information is a practical guide to assess their financial status, analyze their net worth and spending habits, adjust any insurance policies to be more cost effective, review financial investment options and prepare a financial strategy for building a living estate. Figures have been included for officers to complete. The expected outcome after following the guidelines in the paper is that an officer will recognize his or her current financial status and develop a strategy for the future. (jg)
