Structure and Expression of Genes for Flavivirus Immunogens

Abstract

Progress during the reporting period included: (i) expression of a DEN- virus neutralizing epitope in E. coli (ii) expression of DEN- structural proteins and 80% of the NS protein by a recombinant baculovirus (iii) extension of the DEN- sequence into the NS5 coding region and (iv) development of an assay to detect DEN- RNA by non-radioactive means.
