Market Investigation for Automated Warehousing

Abstract

This market investigation was conducted by the US Army Belvoir Research, Development and Engineering Center. The objective was to conduct a comprehensive market analysis of the current and developing automated material handling technologies that may be suitable for adaptation to an automated field warehousing system or individual components that may be integrated into such a system. The purpose of this technical report is to document the study effort which included a literature search, development of a questionnaire, distribution and collection of data from the questionnaire, analysis of the responses to the questionnaire, and selected site visits.
