Compact Millimeter-Wave Devices: Cherenkov CARM, Voltage CARM and High Harmonic Gyrotron

Abstract

The dielectric loaded CARM experiments were extremely disappointing. Even with a high quality electron beam, the performance of the device did not improve. The analytical theory of Bragg reflectors was developed. The reflection is found by solving the coupled differential equations by the eigenvalue/eiginvector method.
