Comb-Like Polymers Containing NLO active Pendant Groups

Abstract

The synthesis and characterization of new homo-and polymers containing p- extended (azomethine) active moiety separated by flexible methylene spacer have been reported. All the synthesized monomers and polymers showed spectroscopic properties (NMR,IR,UV) in accordance with the proposed structures. Inherent of molecular weight from gel permeation chromatography. Thermal characteristics of the polymers are also described.
