Experimental Studies of Josephson Effect

Abstract

During the course of this contract, research has been conducted in three distinct areas, all involving the Josephson effect: A. Development of Josephson junction arrays as tunable sources of microwave through submillimeter radiation; B. Conformation of general relativistic effects, equivalent to the red shift, for charged particles, and C. Studies of the quantum mechanics of macroscopic variables, in particular of the flux linking a SQUID.
