Abstract

This report describes a policy support system, based on a life-of type model, for the replacement of equipment, particularly of vehicles. The system will be integrated in an information system and will determine the optimal economic time for replacing equipment, starting from availability requirements. The aim for this report is to define a good basis both for the system itself and for the system environment. Form this point of view the assumptions, demands, philosophy and possibilities of the Life-of-Type model will be dealt with. Netherlands.
