Proceedings of the NASTRAN (Tradename) Users' Colloquium (17th) Held in San Antonio, Texas on 24-28 April 1989

Abstract

NASTRAN (NASA STRuctural ANalysis) is a large, comprehensive, nonproprietary, general purpose finite element computer code for structural analysis which was developed under NASA sponsorship and became available to the public in late 1970. The Seventeenth Colloquium provides some comprehensive general papers on the application of finite element methods in engineering, comparisons with other approaches, unique applications, pre- and post-processing or auxilliary programs, and new methods of analysis with NASTRAN. Partial Contents: Improved Performance in NASTRAN; Increasing Marketability and Profitability of Product Line Thru PATRAN & NASTRAN; A NASTRAN DMAP Alter for Linear Buckling Analysis Under Dynamic Loading; Improvements to the Continue Feature in Transient Analysis; Finite Element Modeling of Electromagnetic Fields and Waves Using NASTRAN.
