Approaches to the Design of a Novel Macromolecular System with Tailored Optical Properties

Abstract

A systematic approach towards the development of polymeric nonlinear optical material has been presented. The optimally designed functional molecular elements are carefully assembled to incorporate large second and third order optical nonlinearities, paying attention to the processing needs. Preliminary results from the measurement of the optical properties is also presented. Keywords: Optoelectric properties.
