Planning Civilian Reuse of Former Military Base. Revision

Abstract

This report deals with military base closures, and the the conversion of the base to civilian usage. To assist community leaders in their overall responsibility for determining the final base reuses, this report will discuss the need for an overall development strategy and as well as several base reuse planning objectives for former bases. The report will then discuss innovative design for former bases. This report is also being issued as a companion document to a community leaders manual on federal property disposal and community acquisition.
