Real-Time Ada Performance Benchmarks; Execution Results

Abstract

A set of real-time performance benchmarks were previously developed by CECOM to measure the performance of individual Ada features, to determine Ada runtime system implementation dependencies, and to determine the performance of paradigms found in real-time systems. This task transported the benchmarks to other environments and listed the results after running them. Using the DDC-1 Ada cross compiler system hosted on a Micro Vax II and targeted to the Intel 80X86 family of microprocessors, results were obtained. Also the results of running the benchmarks on a HP 9000/350 computer, using two versions of the self-hosted HP Ada compiler (HP3.25 and HP4.35) running under HP-UX, are presented. (kr)
