Molten Salt Electrolytes in High Temperature Batteries

Abstract

This Paper describes the use of molten salt electrolytes in high temperature batteries, both single-use 'thermal' batteries and high temperature rechargeable batteries. The properties of the existing electrolytes are discussed and current research on new electrolytes is described.
