The research was limited to considering the organization, functions and responsibilities of HQSC LOGENG Sub-Branch, modification management, configuration management and technical publication management. The division of engineering responsibilities within the RAAF and existing engineering management policy and procedures as detailed in various technical instructions and publications were documented. The strengths and weaknesses of various organization structures were then described. Measures of organization effectiveness, modification management and configuration management were addressed. Formal interviews were conducted to determine the existing level of effectiveness of engineering management.
