The Impact of Family Income on Military Reserve Retention

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of family income on retention in the military reserves. There are five types of family income from civilian employment, income from other sources, income from wife's employment, and potential income from reserve retirement. The study is limited to married male reserve members with 6 years or less in the reserves.
