Micro-Radiography Using an Electron Linac Source and Ram Memory Chip Detectors

Abstract

Radiography using a pulsed electron (LINAC) source and a semiconductor memory chip (RAM) as a detector has been investigated. The responses of commercial SRAMS and DRAMS were examined, with the SRAM proving superior for radiography. A variety of shapes (circular holes, slits, etc.) were radiographed with the results being encouraging for future work. Canada. (rh)
