Development of Bushing Compounds for Tracked Vehicles

Abstract

This report details an evaluation of the elastomeric components of commercial bushing assemblies for tracked vehicles such as the M1, M60, and Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Also included and discussed are results of initial compounding studies and endurance testing of selected candidate materials which evolved from efforts to extend bushing service life.
