Contractor Logistics Support for the Tactical Air Forces: Can It be Made Affordable?

Abstract

Contractor logistics support (CLS) is cradle to grave system support that is increasingly being used as an alternative to blue suit maintenance in areas where combat participation is not expected. However, there is a significant CLS funding shortfall for the tactical air forces (TAF) throughout the Five Year Defense Plan. This shortfall can be eliminated by using innovation and ingenuity to eliminate unnecessary CLS requirements. Keywords: Logistics, Management, Air Force, Tactical Air Command, Theses. (RWJ)
