Calculation of the NFb1 Epsilon-X3 Epsilon- Stimulated Emission Cross Section

Abstract

The stimulated emission cross section for the NFb 1Sigma to X 3Sigma(-) transition has been derived under conditions of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation where coordinates involving nuclear and electronic motion are separable. Exact and Hund's coupling case B Honl-London factors are presented. Sample calculations for the five rotational branches of the NFb 1Sigma to X 3Sigma(-)(0,0) band at several temperatures are given.
