During FY 89, work was performed in the following nine project areas: (a) Bubble related ambient noise in the ocean and bubble clouds and surface reverberation; (b) Acoustically active surfaces; (c) Acoustic scattering by structures; (d) Machinery noise; (e) Propagation physics; (f) Solid state acoustics; (g) Short-range ultrasonic sensing; (h) Electro-rheological fluids; and (i) Transducer development.
