Abstract

The purpose of this document is to provide guidance for system designers at the central design activities (CDAs) on the availability and potential usages of the technical components that are authorized for use in DLA. The components which are available or which are anticipated are described herein. The basic policies and procedures to be followed by the system designer in developing systems which satisfy requirements are also identified by this document. Observance of these policies and procedures will help assure successful integration of systems and a consistent course toward the technical objectives of the Agency. The reader is referred to the DSAC Business Model which illustrates not only the design and development process for information systems and the supporting technology process but also the inter-relationship between the CDA and the Headquarters required for successful integration.
