Mapping an Adaptable Eigenstructure Technique onto the Topologix Hypercube

Abstract

Eigenstructure methods provide accuracy and stability to signal processing applications, such as the enhanced minimum variance distortionless response (EMVDR) algorithm. Eigenstructure methods, however, require the high throughput that is only available in parallel computer systems. One such system is the hypercube multiprocessor, which, along with high throughput, also provides distributed memory and efficient networking. This report describes the implementation of an eigenstructure method on the Topologix hypercube architecture that will produce the eigenstructure required in the EMVDR beamformer.
