Development of Sizing Systems for Navy Women's Uniforms

Abstract

A proposed new sizing system for Naval women's clothing has been developed. Based on the findings of a sizing evaluation of current women's uniforms, the new system is designed to (1) better accommodate the proportional diversity found among Navy women; (2) bring sizing for Navy women's clothing into closer conformity with commercial sizing, and (3) develop a single sizing system for all lower body garments. Sizing tables for the proposed system presented in this report, are based in part on proposed new commercial standards and include proportional variations.
