Diode Laser Scaling Using Unconventional Adaptive Optics

Abstract

The objectives of this program are to understand and develop technologies necessary for optimizing large area diode amplifiers that can be used in a phase conjugate (PC) master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) arrangement to produce high power laser output. This report describes the study results on amplifier design, anti-reflection coating development, amplifier fabrication, and amplifier characterization.
