Abstract

The UT(2000 is a high quality, ultra-lightweight, multifunctional device and is capable of modification to meet most portable equipment requirements. The equipment was developed in collaboration with the Austrian Army and has been tested in desert and arctic conditions. The equipment can be used in the medical evacuation role and underslung from a helicopter. The UT 2000 consists of two sections, each of which is a backpack capable of carrying loads limited only by the strength of the user. When coupled together, the sections from a device that can be used as a cot, sled, or stretcher.
