Ultra-Fast Tunable Microwave Filter. Phase 2, Task 1.

Abstract

Varactor-tunable resonant filter elements that use the negative resistance of an FET to overcome the losses of the varactor and the circuitry were used to construct two three-section filters. One filter operates in the tunable frequency range from 8.4 to 9.2 GHz; a second filter, in the required 9. 1- to 9.6-GHz frequency range. Midband insertion loss is typically 0 dB; 3-dB bandwidth is 100 MHz.
