Trimodal Random-Field Ising Systems in a Transverse Field

Abstract

The trimodal random-field Ising model with the presence of a transverse field is investigated by introducing a parameter to simulate the fraction of spins not exposed to the external longitudinal magnetic field. Phase diagrams are obtained for different cases, and conditions for the occurrence of tricritical and reentrant phenomena are found.
