Silicon Ceramics with a Dash of Boron

Abstract

This review deals with the synthesis of cross-linked silazanyl borazine polymers that are excellent precursors for BN/Si3N4 composites, with decaborane-diamine polymers that serve as BN precursors and with the serendipitous discovery of an ortho-carborane.
