Communications Acquisition. Army Needs to Ensure Economy in SINCGARS radio Procurement,
Abstract
The Army's Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS) radio acquisition program is expected to cost $3.1 billion through 1998. Because of continuing congressional interest in SINCGARS procurement, GAO reviewed (1) the current SINCGARS acquisition strategy and (2) the Army's progress in reducing SINCGARS radio quantities.
