Rank Differences in Reasons for Discharge from the Army

Abstract

Responses to the items on the Other Ranks Discharge Questionnaire (ORDQ) are broken down across rank. This analysis indicated that nearly all items on the ORDQ show different response patterns across rank. Those items indicating that they were a strong influence on the soldier's decision to leave (or stay) are discussed.
