Modeling Regional Seismic Waves

Abstract

The research can be divided into four main topics; modeling the shear-velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle beneath Tibetan Plateau and Southeastern China using Love waves and S and SS arrivals, broadband modeling along a regional shield path where the strengths of the surface waves can be compared with the crustal body phases, broad-band modeling of local earthquakes, and the wave field from an off-center explosion in a embedded sphere.
