Abstract

The brochure is an introduction to the exporting process. It addresses export guidelines and procedures for American manufacturers of chemical defense equipment. Differences between direct commercial and foreign military sales are explained. Suggestions on how to find customers are given. Foreign government(s) and national(s) responsibilities are discussed. Jurisdiction of various government agencies, registration procedures, licensing applications, recoupments for government-sponsored research, and legal restrictions are covered. Appendices include a listing of Department of Commerce District Offices, American Embassies and Consulates, and a flowchart of the export process.
