Abstract

The purpose of this task order was to identify improvements that would enhance Photonic's ability to compete against other DoD Depots and private industry. This will be accomplished by exceeding customers' standards while reducing costs and inventory, creating additional capacity for new workload, and securing the present workload with the current resources. The major finding of this task order is the lack of accountability at every level of the organization. The result is an increase in labor costs, inventory, and rework and a decline in quality.
