Characterization of Electronic Materials

Abstract

This report describes development and implementation of experimental techniques to fabricate specimens from new or novel materials developed under several Air Force programs. X-ray orientation, optical polishing and metallurgical processing are discussed. Specimen materials include hydrothermally grown quartz crystals, nonoxide based glasses, indium phosphide crystals, bismuth containing electro-optic materials and several other miscellaneous materials.
