Is There a Shortage of Computer Programmers/Systems Analysts? An Examination of the Empirical Evidence.

Abstract

This thesis investigates the alleged shortage of computer programmers and systems analysts. The basic premise of this thesis is to quantify the supply of and the demand for computer specialists to determine whether there is empirical evidence of a shortage. A quantification of the supply if computer specialists is presented. Based on an examination of available literature, there is no quantification information available of the demand for computer specialists.
