Department of Defense In-House RDT&E Activities. Management Analysis Report

Abstract

This report was prepared for the US Army Material Command at the direction of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Research, Development, and Acquisition. This edition is a continuation of the series of reports that was initiated in 1966. Each In-House RDTE Activity of the Department of Defense is described on one page in this compilation. The data for 1987 are summarized in tables preceding the main text. All current DOD RDTE Activities which meet the report requirement of having at least 25 percent of their budget in RDTE Funds are listed in the contents alphabetically within each department. Some facilities which do not meet the requirement previously noted are also listed by special request. Organizational changes during FY 1987 appear in appendix I. Appendix II contains many of the definitions used in this report and is provided as an additional aid in use of the report. Appendix III lists selected abbreviations and acronyms. Appendix IV lists selected key words with page references.
