Abstract

This symposium will address all aspects of diamond materials science and technology from growth fundamentals to applications. Both invited and contributed papers will be included. Contributed papers are solicited on the following topics: (1) synthesis techniques; (2) vapor phase diagnostics; (3) nucleation and crystal growth; (4) microstructural characterization and local atomic order; (5) mechanical behavior; (6) optical properties; (7) electronic properties; and (8) manufacturing issues.
