Treatment Needs of Soldiers in Dental Fitness Class 2: A Report of Consultation

Abstract

The purpose for this consultation was to determine the number of hours required to move a soldier from Dental Fitness Class 2 to Dental Fitness Class 1. A sample of 926 records was drawn from the Fort Hood Dental Activity and 926 records were reviewed by six general dentists. Their estimates of periodontal and non-periodontal treatment time were recorded. The mean treatment time was 5.89 hours.
