Local Area Network Strategies and Guidelines for a Peruvian Air Force Computer Center

Abstract

This thesis examines the application of local area network (LAN) technology to the Peruvian Air Force Computer Center. The current Peruvian Air Force Computer Center communication system and its problems are discussed, along with the basic concepts of data communication, protocols, and topologies. The IEEE 802.3 and IEEE 802.5 specifications are discussed in detail.
