How Implementation of TQM and the Development of a Process Improvement Model, Within a Forward Support Battalion, Can Improve Preparation of the Material Condition Status Report (DA Form 2406)

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) and the development of a process improvement model, within a Forward Support Battalion (FSB), cn improve preparation of the Material Condition Status Report (DA Form 2406). It attempts to establish the framework Forward Support Battalions can implement in order to develop a process improvement model and identifies some ways to monitor the progress the improvement model is making with the preparation of the DA Form 2406. The findings suggest that when TQM is implemented within the FSB, and if the Plan- Do-Check-Act process improvement model is also implemented, the preparation of the DA Form 2406 process can be improved.
