HEMP Test on FD-565

Abstract

This report describes the test on the FD-565 Optical Digital Transmission System against the high-altitude electromagnetic pulse (HEMP). The background of this test is explained with the test objectives. The general FD- 565 system configuration is described along with the test configurations. Also introduced are the facility and data acquisition and processing system. Three different kinds of data are presented: operational data, bulk current data, and field level data. For the purpose of statistical analysis, the operational data are tabulated at the end of this report.
