Combustion of Solid Propellants (La Combustion des Propergols Solides)

Abstract

This document presents and analyzed the following combustion phenomena, both theoretically and experimentally: Overview on solid propellant combustion within a rocket motor; Solid propellant steady combustion; Erosive burning; Special effects in solid propellant combustion; Combustion instabilities; Ignition and unsteady combustion; and Combustion and safety of solid propellant rocket motors. This Lecture Series, sponsored by the Propulsion and Energetics Panel of AGARD, has been implemented by the Consultant and Exchange Programme.
