Vortex-Exhaust Nozzle Interactions in Ramjets Combustors

Abstract

The objective of our work was to understand the role of large scale vortical structures in the low-frequency pressure oscillation ramjet problem. We were particularly interested in vortex-nozzle interactions and the relative role of acoustically versus connectively coupled instability mechanisms.
