Analysis of Shielded Suspended Stripline Discontinuities

Abstract

An evaluation of the shielded stripline was conducted using an X-band waveguide to isolate a suspended strip transmission line. The analysis was conducted below the functional cutoff frequency of the X-band guide over a broad range of frequencies. The scattering coefficients were measured and used to compute the gap capacitances of the transmission line. The gap discontinuities were then used to confirm the theoretical assumed piequivalent circuit. (Author)
