Beschrijving van de Multispectrale CCD-Camera (Description of the Multispectral CCD-Camera)

Abstract

The multispectral CCD camera system (MS-CCD) has been developed for the 'Background clutter project' (1990-1993), which is being carried out by the Infrared Group (Div. 4.2) in cooperation with the Technology Development Division (Div. 5) of TNO Physics and electronics Laboratory in contract for the Dutch Royal Army. The Background clutter project aims to improve range predictions for detection and recognition of army vehicles in natural backgrounds. Digital imagery, which has been obtained using visible and IR imaging sensors is used to optimize range predictions. During the course of this project a need was felt for a system acquiring imagery of backgrounds in 12 different wavelength bands between 350 nm and 1100 nm.
