Abstract

Panel 11 organized a symposium for information exchange and discussion of current research in information processing technology and its application to the engineering of military information systems. Four sessions were held: (a) Engineering for the System Life-Cycle, (b) Knowledge-Based Systems, (c) Software Technology, (d) C31 Systems Development. As a main conclusion, system procurement practices allowing for incremental and evolutionary development would bring significant benefit.
