A Design for a Multi-Use Object Editor with Connections

Abstract

One product of the Intelligent Courseware Authoring Tools project is a storyboarding tool. The foundation of this tool is a more general object editor with connectors. The methodology used is appropriate for a variety of object manipulations by direct user input. The tool is intended to aid in the improvement of the courseware development process and facilitate the documentation and maintenance of completed courseware. This document is a design specification which describes the architecture, design, and implementation of the storyboarding tool. A user's manual will be forthcoming under separate cover.
