Ocean Sun Glint in the 3 to 5 Micron Region and Its Radiance Variation with Off Glint Sun Angle and Sensor Elevation

Abstract

Ocean sun glint data taken in the 3 to 5 micron region with the Background Measurement and Analysis Program's (BMAP) infrared radiometric sensor was compiled and reduced. The average radiance and standard deviation for each sensor scan was calculated and graphed against the sun glint angle and the sensor elevation.
