United States Air Force Summer Research Program 1991. Summer Faculty Research Program (SFRP) Reports. Volume 4. Rome Laboratory, Arnold Engineering Development Center, F. J. Seiler Research Laboratory

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to develop the basis for continuing research of interest to the Air Force at the institution of the faculty member; to stimulate continuing relations among faculty members and professional peers in the Air Force; to enhance the research interests and capabilities of scientific and engineering educators; and to provide follow-on funding for research of particular promise that was started at an Air Force laboratory under the Summer Faculty Research Program. During the summer of 1991 170 university faculty conducted research at Air Force laboratories for a period of 10 weeks. Each participant provided a report of their research, and these reports are consolidated into this annual report.
